England National Team EURO 2021 – All Important Information

The England National Team is ready to do magic on the field at this year’s major tournament They will give their best in order to, at least, overcome their result from the 2018 World Cup where they reached semi-finals and lost to the Croatia National Team. They finished 4th then and now they are heading for the EURO 2021 title!

In 2019 England bounced back again after, once again, reaching the semi-final of the Uefa Nations League. They were preparing for the qualifications for the 2020 European Championship, especially since they knew that the final match would be on their home ground, Wembley Stadium.

Their qualification campaign for the EURO 2021 was fantastic, without any doubt, almost a perfect run. England finished top of the group, after winning 7 out their 8 games, leaving only Czech Republic to ruin their fantastic run.

What can we expect from the England National Team in the upcoming clashes of the major EURO 2021 tournament? One thing remains clear, and it’s the fact that they are among the favorites to win the title!

Get to know all the important information about the squad!

Football Manager of the England National Team

Gareth Southgate is the former football player and the current football manager of the England National Team. He played as the defender or midfielder during his career as a player in Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and England.

He started his managing career in 2006, managing Middlesbrough, England U21, and then finally the England National Team in 2016. Even though it wasn’t much expected from Southgate back then, in 2018, during the World Cup, he became the hero of his country, leading England to the semi-finals, which was the first time in 28 years until then.

It’s yet to be seen if this former Middlesbrough leader manage to surpass this success in the upcoming tournament.

The possible lineup of England National Team for the EURO 2021 could look like this: Pickford on the goal, Shaw, Maguire, Walker, and Stones could be in the defensive line, guarding their team-mate goalkeeper. Grealish, Rice, Henderson, and Foden can be expected on the midfield, while Kane and Sterling will be in charge of the attack.

The Key Player of the England National Team

The current key player of the England National Team is Harry Kane who is currently playing as a striker for the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. Tactics & Form of the England National Team for the EURO 2021

According to their recent two friendlies, we could expect to see the standard 4-3-3 formation from the England National Team. That tactic served him well at the 2018 World Cup so it’s not a big surprise if we get to see that formation once again at the upcoming major tournament.

During their EURO 2020 qualification campaign, only once did England fail to score at least 4 goals in their 8 qualifying matches. Although they suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic National Team, we can clearly say that they did an amazing job in all other qualifying matches.
