Germany Euro 2021 Lineup
The list of German squads for the UEFA European Championship has been announced by the selector, Joachim Löw. This will be his last competition after 15 years of the selector’s mandate. When it comes to his selection of players for the National team, there weren’t any big surprises. Nonetheless, there were some unexpected novelties.
For a while now, it’s known that Royce asked for a break and Ter Stegen chose to operate his knee. The goalkeeper of Barcelona, Marc Andre Ter Stegwn and Borussia veteran Marco Royce thanked the national team for the invitation.
Despite all that, German National team has a great chance to win the title that has eluded them for more than 25 years now. Tomas Miler and Mats Humels are back to the National team, which is big news, since Joachim Löw hasn’t invited them since the Mundial 3 years ago.
On the other side, Julan Draxler, Paris Saint Germain, is out of the list, which came somewhat unexpectedly. Jonathan Ta, Leverkusen stopper and midfielder Florian Wirtz are also excluded from the list. We also won’t be seeing Dortmunds midfielder Julian Brandt, neither Luca Waldschmidt (Benfica), Amin Younes (Eintracht), Thilo Kehrer (PSG), Nico Schulz (Borussia), Philipp Max, (PSV), etc.
One of the biggest surprises is that the 18-year-old Jamal Musiala, Bayern’s child prodigy and the attacking midfielder for Bayern Munich, is on the list! Kevin Volland (AS Monaco) is also on the list. Christian Ginter (Freiburg) has been invited due to the failed realization of bringing Borna Sosa to the team.
Without a doubt, the strongest links of the Germany Euro 2021 Squad are: Joshua Kimmich, Niklas Süle, Leroy Sane, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnarby, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Toni Kroos, Manuel Neuer, etc. So, we can see that the essence of the team is consist of the players who are, or have been playing for Bayern.
