Tactics & Form of the Italy National Team for the EURO 2021

The main question is, what tactics will Roberto Mancini use for his teams? Will he go for the common 4-3-3 system, which includes fluid attackings? During the World Cup Qualifications in March, Mancini rotated the attack.

However, the common pattern of play remained similar and it is the well-known system – Immobile or Belotti leading the line, with the support of Berardi, Chiesa, Bernardeschi or Insigne.

When it comes to the midfield, the Italy National Team sure has a lot of quality, experienced players such as Barella who is largely utilised as a No.8 pushing forward, Jorginho who’s the preferred deep-lying playmaker. Manuel Locatelli is the all-action unit, who is offering the energy and zest will also be crucial for his team. The centre-backs are experienced and well-versed, so a lot is expected from them, also.
