The England manager Gareth Southgate has announced the preliminary list of 33 football players for the UEFA European Championship. He will have to cut off 7 players from this list until the 1st of June, when he’ll make the final announcement of the England EURO 2021 Squad.

We can expect to see Everton’s defender Ben Godfrey, Sheffield United’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Brighton and Hove Albion’s defender Ben White, Liverpool’s defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, even though he’s been absent from the last international camp.

The provisional list also includes Tottenham’s forward Harry Kane, Manchester City’s forward Raheem Sterling, and Manchester United’s forward Marcus Rashford. The biggest surprises are the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund’s Bellingham.

Manchester United’s defender Harry Jacob Maguire has also been included on the list, alongside Leed’s midfielder Kalvin Phillips, despite his shoulder injury.

On the other side, Southampton’s goalkeeper Nick Pope, striker Danny Ings, Tottenham’s Eric Dier, Leicester CIty’s midfielder James Maddison won’t be a part of the squad, since they’re all injured. Madison has beens struggling to get back in the form after the injury, but didn’t manage to get to the squad due to very strong competition.

England is competing in Group D, against Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland. Their first match against Croatia is scheduled for June 13. Five days later they’ll be competing against Scotland, while the final match of the group stage will take place on June 22.
