Denmark EURO 2021 Lineup

The Selector of the Denmark National Team, Kasper Hjulmand, has announced the preliminary list of 26 players which will participate at the UEFA European Championship. Denmark is one of the latest countries that has revealed their squad for this competition. Majority of their players are playing in the top five European leagues, which is a big plus for their team. 

We can expect to see Kasper Schmeichel, Leicester City goalkeeper, Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen  and Tottenham midfielder Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg. These are some of the most important Danish players from the Premier League. 

On the other side, there are Inter Milan’s midfielder Christian Eriksen and Borussia Dortmund’s midfielder Thomas Delaney. There is also Fulham’s defender Joachim Andersen who has demonstrated his amazing performance in the field. RB Leipzig’s forward Yussuf Poulsen and  Barcelona’s forward Martin Braithwaite are also on the list. 

Hjulmand has opened up at the press conference stating that he has high ambitions for his team. He pointed out the following: 

“The most important thing is to get out of the group stage in the best possible way, so that we could continue the journey!”. Denmark has one continental gold from 1992, which is one of the most important moments in the Danish football history. 

At the UEFA European Championship Denmark will be playing in Group B, with Finland, Belgium and Russia. The first challenge for Denmark will be the match against Finland on June 12. Don’t miss their first match!
